Fantastic things that happened on the 11th September – and the launch of our new website!

11th September is famous for a number of things like; on this day in 1962 Ringo Star replaced Pete Best to become the drummer in The Beatles and Mahatma Gandhi creating the term “Satyagraha” to decribe the Non-Violence movement in South Africa, on the 11th September 1946 the first car to car long distance telephone call was made, in 1927 Babe Ruth hit the 50th of his 60 Home Runs on this day .

There were some famous weddings too, who-dun-it novelist Agatha Christie on this day in 1930 not to mention fashion designer Donna Karren in 1983 on the 11th September and Belgium’s King Leopold in 1941. Okay, so why all this splendid information about 11th September I hear you ask. Well, something is happening on the 11h September 2013 to rub shoulders with the aforementioned glitterati…… the launch of our new wedding photography website.  We’ve gone for a full HD video which dose look pretty great on playback and new galleries which make it easy to see the photos on devices. All of the photographs are by our award winning photographer Chris Loufte and we are adding pages specifically to showcase our Indian weddings this year as Smita and Kiran’s was so much fun. Over 900 guests at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre in Auckland,  I think Chris would have shot it for the food alone. You can see some of the photos on our Facebook page www.facebook/Loufte and head for the wedding photographer or in Smita & Kirans indian wedding gallery within the new website.

Chris chose this image to go with this post because it has a theme of the beginning of a new journey, It’s a photo from Amanda & Rewi’s wedding in Nelson this year. It was in a lovely picture post card church for the ceremony then off to the Tahunanui Beach for a creative photos of the bridal party. If you would like to see a few of them you can here.!/photo.php?fbid=557340337666630&set=a.557340294333301.1073741836.237216676345666&type=3&theater26
