Capturing the moment

‘Capturing the moment’ and what
that means to me as a
wedding photographer.

Capturing the unique unrepeatable moments of a wedding day in photos creates something really special for my couples. A collection of photographic memories they value for rest of their lives.

I’ve been a visual story-teller, a photojournalist,  all of my professional life. Starting out in the media shooting for Reuters, The Press Association and titles like The Times in London and The New York Times among others. Covering events where there is no going back for a second chance.

I learned some special skills along the way that I’ve brought with me into my wedding photography. Reading and anticipating events as they unfold means I can be always ahead of the action. Match this with lightning fast camera skills and I rarely miss the moment.

Capturing the unique unrepeatable moments of a wedding day in photos creates something really special for my couples. A collection of photographic memories they value for rest of their lives. Although I deliver 600+ hand processed images for every full wedding I shoot It’s these special captured moments that are always my couples’ favorite photos.

Every wedding has it’s moments. Moments that show how real, genuine and complete is the feeling of love between two people. There are funny moments, Joyful moments. Emotional moments and moments of peace and calm. They all share one thing in common. They are over in the blink of an eye.

I have yet to meet the couple whose favourite wedding photos didn’t show a genuine connections . A special moment captured, strikes a chord deep in their hearts. A recognition of a connection in the moment that is uniquely theirs. And theirs for ever. And that’s a wonderful thing to create.
